GS1 workshop: Atos Worldline participates at GS1 workshop on the mobile commerce in Japan.

GS1 is a leading global organisation dedicated to the design and implementation of global standards and solutions to improve the efficiency and visibility of supply and demand chains globally and across sectors.
Within the framework of its contribution to “Mobile Commerce” GS1 working group, the Atos Worldline R & D and Business Marketing & Strategy departments took part in a workshop in Tokyo in November 2007 in order to observe the usages of the mobile in a country much more advanced in this sector than Europe or the United States.
Mobile Internet, the QR codes (quick response) and bar codes, contactless technologies are as many usages practised by nearly 80% of the Japanese population.
Atos Worldline will confirm that the future goes together with mobile and contactless technologies.
Atos Worldline will offer its clients the possibility to consider these applications coming from the East.

France Loisirs launches a new automated phone order service in voice recognition with Atos Worldline
Atos Worldline was awarded by France Loisirs with the design, build, run and hosting of its new automated order phone service. Based on voice recognition technology, this innovating service called “Order Flash” makes the order process quicker (less than 3 minutes) and more user-friendly for the customers, while reducing the number of calls towards the platform. Atos Worldline voice application offers a simplified ergonomy: the customer just needs to give verbally his client’s number as well as the products’ references to be ordered, and is thus released from typing constraints.

Mobile World Congress: Atos Worldline showcased its latest innovations
Atos Origin and Atos Worldline participated at the 2008 Mobile World Congress which was held at the Fira de Barcelona in February 11th -14th. The Congress brings together the eminent leaders and personalities from mobile operators and equipment vendors, as well as those from the Internet and the world of entertainment.
Atos Worldline showcased the following solutions:
  • Go Live! Next generation messaging – Fully convergent e-mail/voice-mail/video-mail services developed and operated by Atos Wordline, which manages each year over 30 million mailboxes.
  • Rich media – Mobile on-device portals for access to multimedia content including TV and VoD, as well as community networks. These provide a compelling user experience, with even more functionalities than home broadband triple play services.
  • Mobile payment – The m-banxafe technology developed and operated by Atos Worldline in Belgium. It was recently implemented for the new fully secure m-Payment solution Pay2me.

Management of a new co-branded “fuel card”: DCC (Diplomatic Card Corporation) chooses Atos Worldline.
Atos Worldline was selected by Diplomatic Card Corporation (DCC) to ensure the management of its “co-branded duty-free” fuel card. DCC partners with a leading worldwide oil company to launch this card in Europe. The card will address DCC’s customers not liable for tax (Diplomatic corps) enabling them to buy fuel directly without its taxes (VAT and TIPP).
The platform developed by Atos Worldline offers an end-to-end service including transaction processing, authorization management, customers’ and invoices data bases (Atos Worldline electronic invoice solution Worldline Invoice), customers’ contracts management, and phone support through a dedicated Card Centre.

Self-service bicycle market: Atos Worldline is supporting EFFIA
Atos Worldline is supporting EFFIA, the subsidiary of SNCF and responsible for passenger public transport services, in the launch of its Vélossimo offering. Named vélo’+, this new service allows passengers to easily and quickly rent and return bicycles at stations at any time of day or night. Atos Worldline will design, build and run the central IT system of the service, firstly deployed by EFFIA in the Orléans Val de Loire French urban area. Customers can access the service via the Internet, over the telephone or directly at the terminal. It is also possible to consult bicycle availability in real time using the Internet or Mobile Internet.
Atos Worldline was selected because of its proven experience in the implementation of innovative solutions. Today, vélo’+ account more than 900 annual subscribers, and 2.500 occasional customers.

Atos Worldline launches innovative module for easy and secure recharging accounts for prepaid phones
Atos Worldline launched its new multi-channel recharging solution for prepaid phone accounts. With this new solution, mobile phone providers can offer their customers new and easier options for topping up their prepaid accounts at any time and from anywhere, by using various payment means such as credits, physical scratch cards, credit cards etc, while guaranteeing operating cost reduction and efficient fraud prevention. The module can also be used on electronic channels such as WEB, SMS, WAP, USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data), ATMs, as well as internet portals and home banking solutions. Mobile phone providers can combine existing and new recharging channels with new payment means, such as eVouchers or Fund Transfer Schemes. At the same time, they can reduce the handling cost of each top up transaction, and centralise such transactions to a greater degree.

Atos Worldline Innovates with the fast mobile tickets txt2go in the UK
Bus passengers travelling with bus operator Go North East will be the first in the country to be able to order and receive their bus tickets by mobile phone. The modern twist on bus tickets has been developed by Go North East in partnership with Atos Worldline and mobile ticketing specialists, Swiftpass. Called ‘txt2go’, passengers will be able to receive a digital ticket direct to their mobile phone just minutes after ordering it by text. The phone screen displaying the ticket information is then shown to the driver as the passenger gets on the bus. The cashless, paperless ticket can be ordered any time, anywhere by sending a simple text. The solution allows Go North East to capitalise on the ubiquity of the mobile phone by providing an interface that turns the device into a secure, convenient and easy-to-use payment method.

CeBit 2008: Atos Worldline will once again participate at this year’s CeBIT in Hanover from 4 to 9 March 2008
CeBIT is the world's largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions for home and work environments.
