E-commerce: Atos Worldline supports Monoprix in its move to online retailing
Atos Worldline has been chosen by Monoprix to build, launch and run the French retailer’s new e-commerce site www.monoprix.com. Initially dedicated to online sales of food, personal care and beauty products, housewares and leisure goods, the site will be gradually expanded to cover the complete product catalogue.
The Atos Worldline solution enables Monoprix to offer e-shoppers a fast, convenient and efficient alternative to in-store shopping. Worldline e-commerce solution meets Monoprix exact requirements in terms of robustness, stability and high availability. Monoprix also benefits for the Secure Internet Processing Services (SIPS).

Innovation in Air Transport with Atos Worldline paperless tickets solution delivered via mobile phone
Atos Worldline offers airline companies an innovative alternative to hard tickets for their customers on the move through its new mobile boarding passes solution. This parpelles solution allows travelers to check in and receive a boarding pass directly on their mobile phones. A leading European airline company has already chosen Atos Worldline to design, develop and operate this service.
To access the service, passengers need simply to log onto the airline’s Internet mobile website, from which they have the possibility to check in, receive a boarding pass and access the full range of services via mobile phone. After completing the check-in process, passengers receive a message with a 2D barcode directly on their handsets. The barcode serves as the boarding pass and can be read by both security and airport/airline scanning equipment.
The Atos Worldline solution complies with International Air Transport Association (IATA) directives and helps further a sustainable development approach. It fits in perfectly with Atos Worldline’s strategy of innovation and paperless ticketing for the travel industry.

Atos Origin and Sagem Sécurité Win Biometric Passport Contract
Atos Origin trough its subsidiary Atos Worldline, and Sagem Sécurité (SAFRAN Group), one of the world’s leading suppliers of identity systems, have announced their selection by France’s National Secure Credentials Agency (ANTS), following an international tender, to manage implementation and deployment of the biometric passport system throughout France. The new passport, which is the result of a European Union directive, will reinforce passport reliability and personal security while helping to more effectively combat the fraudulent use of passports. This first secure document is in line with the French Government’s modernization strategy and its secure identity programs for citizens, of which ANTS is the enabler Atos Origin’s extensive services portfolio and especially Atos Worldline's expertise combined with Sagem Sécurité’s expert skills make it possible to provide a single interface capable of covering all of the Agency’s needs - design, development, integration, rapid and broad-based deployment, training, change management and systems operation.

Optimising health establishment certification: Atos Worldline supports the French Health Authority
As part of its mission to improve the quality of healthcare, the Superior Health Authority (HAS) turned to
Atos Worldline for the design, development, operation and hosting of its SARA project. SARA is a collaborative tool that aims at optimising and industrialising the processes involved in the certification of healthcare facilities. In order to implement its project, the French Superior Health Authority was looking for a partner able to provide a flexible, open and interoperable service platform meeting demanding targets in terms of usability and performance.

Launch of the first ever trial enabling real-time ‘personal carbon’ calculation in UK: Trial developed by Atos Origin
With the help of a technology developed by Atos Origin, the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce) recently launched the first ever trial enabling real-time calculations of personal carbon emissions using technology already in place from Atos Origin. This trial will increase understanding of people’s willingness and readiness to record and measure their own carbon emissions. Atos Worldline, has designed, built and is running the card transaction processing systems at all BP forecourts across the UK. When participants in the trial purchase petrol at a BP forecourt, Atos Worldline manages the real-time, secure transfer of the purchase details to the RSA’s CarbonDAQ – a personal carbon trading platform – which then calculates the carbon credits based on fuel grade and volume purchased.

Organized by Orange Business Services and Syntec Informatique, the 2008 awards ceremony takes place in Paris on October 22 during the IP Convergence exhibition.

Atos Worldline is also nominated to the Sesames Award in the E-transactions category for its innovation around the automatic teller machines: “Fast booking one ATM”. The 2008 Sesames ceremony organized as part of the Cartes & Identification trade show will take place on November 3 in Paris.
