6 to 8 May 2008 - Kiosk Europe Expo 2008 - Essen / Germany
From 06-08 May 2008, Atos Worldline will be present at the Kiosk Europe Expo, the main trade fair and conference for self service solutions worldwide. In Europe, the number of kiosk installations is annually growing by at least 35% -rising trend continues. Check-in- kiosks are posted at numerous airports, supermarkets introduce terminals in more and more branches, also parking meters and gas stations are appropriate domains of self service terminals. With its Banksys fitting solution XENTEO, Atos Worldline offers a secure and easy-to-install self service payment terminal which has been successfully applied in various countries. EHI Congress: Payment and customer loyalty by card
From 06 to 07 Maay 2008, Atos Worldline is going to be present at the EHI Congress, the top event of the Eurohandelsinstitut (European Trade Institute). The Atos Worldline solutions for retail trade will be showcased at the Congress Center of the Messe Köln (Cologne trade fair). This year's focus is on the "Retail Voucher" solution for the application of rechargeable gift cards in German retail trade. The Atos Worldline expertise of electronic payments as well as voucher/ e-voucher management of the telecommunication environment merge into a highly interesting new idea. The EHI is the scientific institute of trade. Among the 500 members are not only international trading firms and producers of consumer goods, but also numerous service providers of the card sector.

Releasing the power of payments - same game, new rules
The European Payments Consulting Association, EPCA, is a pan-European association of independent national consultancies with high expertise in payment systems and products. EPCA members are based in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain and the Netherlands. This year's conference is organized by innopay (NL), PlusCON (DM) and SCC (NL). EPCA 2008 will take place in Brussels from 31 March to 02 April. The main topics take up the issue of power in different contexts: the power of customers as well as of innovation and new payment channels. More than 250 key players from the financial sector will seize the opportunity to exchange best practices, create professional relationships and preview latest innovations in Payments.
Atos Worldline has decided to contribute to this major event and will be present with an information booth. Experts from the E-payment Products department will present Atos Worldline solutions and advise qualified prospects. "Traditional" internet payments like electronic purse, ELV and mailorder/ telephonic order (MOTO) as well as the transnational Online Banking e-Payments (OBeP) procedure will be presented. OBeP enables the consumer is able to make very quick and safe transactions in the internet. As they will gain new proceeds in the continuously growing e-commerce domain, OBeP will appeal to banks as well as to acquirers.
"Releasing The Power of Payments" international conference is the only event addressing all relevant issues in payments in one comprehensive program tailored for professionals. Atos Worldline processing solution for the eHealth card at TeleHealth Event
Atos Worldline will participate in the international TeleHealth convention from 7 to 8 March 2008. This convention dedicated to the e-health sector, has been integrated for the first time into this year’s CeBIT edition. With a dedicated exhibition area in Hall 8, it offers a comprehensive survey of current IT solutions for the healthcare industry.
Present on Booth B19, Atos Worldline will showcase its upgraded card management system for processing the electronic health card „Worldline eGK KAMS“, with a focus on the Java Security Server recently developed. These latest developments enable a better control of information on patients’, and a hardware security module pool can transparently be connected to the application.

We keep it going
Past events and future trends
The story starts in 1994. At that time the event till entitled "Deutsches Kartenforum" (German Card Forum) saw the light of day. 14 years have passed in the meantime, which have seen seven successful Card Forum events. The electronic purse issue has further developed, and so has the discussion of the parties involved, credit services sector, trade and consumers.
For quite some time, the focus has not been on Germany, England or France alone, but - thanks to SEPA - on the whole Euro payment sphere. Instead of asking questions like "Payment card - yes or no?", "Debit or credit?", a survey of diversity is now at stake. And this applies to products, payment transaction systems and suppliers. But what shall become of them in view of SEPA? Into which direction does the debit card business evolve? Will country specific concepts survive, and if so, what will they look like? And generally, what do the banks actually intend, what does the trade feel for? Regarding costs, for example. And what about payment security? Does the card business have this issue under control, or is it the other way around, and security starts being a bondage?
More insight for more perspective
Questions over questions. On February 21st, 2008 the 8th Card Forum will try to find answers and will takes place in the Congress Center of the trade fair halls in Frankfurt (Messe Frankfurt, hall "Harmonie") After the reception by the executive board of the organizers Atos Worldline and B+S Card Service, nameable speakers from Germany and abroad will present their point of view and discuss potential methods of resolution.

After the lunch break, our excursion topic "Business in Proper Style" will show why sure instinct is crucial, but not the whole thing: What are the right decisions for the first impression? The insights we have gained here can be discussed along with expert talk at the dinner buffet.

Atos Worldline organizes 8th Poseidon ZVT-Information Forum for POS network operators, acquirers, consulting firms and terminal producers in Sankt Goar.
From 22 to 23 January 2008, Atos Worldline is going to organize the 8th Poseidon ZVT-Information Forum in the conference hotel Schloß Rheinfels, Sankt Goar. The focus of the well-established event are the following topics: „Introduction of  EMV and Alliance Cards with regard to SEPA“ and „News from the POSEIDON ZVT, the German protocol for payment transaction terminals”.
