DIPLOMATIC CARD SA entrusts Atos Origin with the management of its new ‘duty-free fuel card’
Paris, July 3rd 2008 -Atos Worldline, an Atos Origin Company, has been selected by DIPLOMATIC CARD SA to ensure the management of its new co-branded Fuel card. DIPLOMATIC CARD SA has linked up with several leading oil companies for the launch of this card in Belgium and then across Europe. It will be aimed at their non-dutiable clients (diplomatic corps: embassies, consulates, international or European organisations), enabling them to buy fuel directly without paying taxes (VAT and excise tax on petroleum products).

Atos Origin wins contract to supply information system for ERDF smart meters
Strategic partnership to span several decades
Paris, July 3, 2008 -ERDF, a subsidiary of EDF and the largest electricity distribution network in the European Union, has launched a major transformation program that will see the replacement of 35 million electricity meters in France, beginning with a pilot trial of 300,000 meters. To help ensure the success of this huge project, ERDF has selected Atos Origin as architect for the information system and lead manager of the consortium of technology firms that will conduct the pilot phase.

Atos Origin and Sagem Sécurité Win Biometric Passport Contract
Paris - June 27 2008 -Atos Origin, an international information technology services company, and Sagem Sécurité (SAFRAN Group) have announced their selection by France’s National Secure Credentials Agency (ANTS), following an international tender, to manage implementation and deployment of the biometric passport system throughout France. The new passport, which is the result of a European Union directive, will reinforce passport reliability and personal security while helping to more effectively combat the fraudulent use of passports. This first secure document is in line with the French Government’s modernization strategy and its secure identity programs for citizens, of which ANTS is the enabler.

CB 5.2 Certification for the complete range of Atos Worldline Banksys terminals

RSA launches first ever trial to enable real-time ‘personal carbon’ calculation
Pilot developed by Atos Origin shows the potential to measure personal carbon footprints using technology already in place.
London, 9 June 2008 - The RSA today launched the first ever trial to enable real-time calculations of personal carbon emissions using technology already in place from Atos Origin, an international IT services company. Energy use and carbon emissions of participants in the trial will be recorded and calculated in real-time, providing them with an accurate picture of their own carbon footprint, initially for personal vehicle use. The trial will increase our understanding of people’s willingness and readiness to record and measure their own carbon emissions. It will also show whether having an accurate view of their carbon footprint, people are more likely to make lifestyle changes.

BP extends contract with Atos Origin for transaction processing services
London – 6 March 2008 -Atos Worldline, an Atos Origin Company, today announced that it has been awarded the contract to process BP’s card transactions including credit, debit, loyalty, fuel and charge cards, as well as manual voucher processing services. The contract marks an extension to the services that Atos Worldline has been delivering to BP since 1991.

Frankfurt/Main, 21 February 2008 -Atos Worldline, an Atos Origin Company, and Commerzbank AG announce that they have signed a new contract to offer innovative online credit decision for eBay new credit card. Customers can apply online for the eBay credit card, and use it immediately for their internet purchases. Both companies also announce the extension of their cooperation in the card business to 2010. The extension of this card processing contract highlights a constantly expanding business relationship in place for more than ten years between both partners.

Atos Origin is supporting EFFIA on the self-service bicycle market
Paris, 13 February 2008 – Atos Worldline, an Atos Origin Company, has signed a contract with EFFIA, the subsidiary of SNCF that is responsible for passenger public transport services, to support the launch of its Vélossimo offering. This new service allows passengers to easily and quickly rent and return bicycles at stations at any time of day or night. Atos Worldline will design, build and run the central IT system of the service, firstly deployed by EFFIA in the Orléans Val de Loire French urban area and was selected because of its proven experience in the implementation of innovative solutions.
