Harnessing Industrial Processing Power

To offer its customers an absolute service commitment, Atos Worldline maintains constantly expanding processing capacities, spread across its key European bases. Our data centres are the core of our business. The management of these environments is a strategic issue, and based on a long-term policy. We see our production tool as a means of developping our business, not as a consequence of it. Regardless of the economic situation, our investment policy is thought out, and backed by a finely tuned operational management strategy.
We study each investment to make sure the options we take are equally as effective in the long term. For that same reason, we cannot depend on turnkey market solutions, and must acquire technical independence in the construction of our production tool.
Over and above the technical issues and resources used, the Technical Operations Division which oversees production has adopted an innovation dynamic to constantly improve and optimise the operation of our data centres.
Over and above the industrial processing power, the optimisation of its operations and the required investments, Atos Worldline has adopted a responsible approach to improving the energy consumption of its production tool.
A Unique Infrastructure and a Distinctive Offer
The industrial production capacity and operational excellence we have implemented allows us to provide an innovative offer requiring an extremely high level of expertise. This applies to the virtual safe service developed and operated by Atos Worldline for a large French bank. This new offering enables users to permanently safeguard electronic documents and anticipate the dematerialisation of the documents that need to be kept (administrative records, personal papers, and so on). A service of this kind has major implications. Users must have absolute guarantees about the security of the virtual safe and to do so, Atos Worldline has deployed a system comprising: - an independent service accessible from the bank’s customer portal
» management of the users, of the authentication process and of the life-cycle of the safes
» management and organisation of the data files, including downloads, uploads, and contextual indicators
» time-stamping and integrity-checking of the documents that are filed
» SSL encryption of exchanges with the safe
» a service for sending SMS and e-mails to users
